all the stress points are going to those two pins on a mr it is just like a big commercial construction piece of machinery it uses one solid pin so if you think about it if you’re holding two things like this how much leverage and force is being put on it versus holding something like this with your hand how much harder is to get it out so we’re talking longevity life of a machine you know you don’t want this thing at four or five thousand hours getting sloppy and having movement in your pins with this machine it is truly an industrial strength machine it is built for the long haul hundreds and thousands of hours of use I brought up the cylinder guards I brought up look and look at these lines look at all these things that are out here to get potentially ripped off bent or damaged on the cat serviceability is a big deal for Caterpillar they really drive home how important it is to keep your machine up keep it maintained have cat service behind you all many excavators are extremely low repair cost I believe
I’m talking an engine oil dipstick something you’re going to do every day is a check you can’t even really get through without going through lines and hoses I mean little things they don’t really matter that much but they do when you’re looking at a machine you want to compare these you don’t just want to focus on what they tell you want to look at the actual true day-to-day of everything if you look at the cat tracks they’re one of the narrowest thinnest track on the market so I’m talking the thickness of the track so you know that’s your wear and tear that’s your rubber to the ground okay the Yanmar vio 35 one of the thickest tracks in the market so that’s durability that’s where that’s going to last longer so when you spend that money for the machine that track is going to give you better ride quality
bolt on counterweight that you can get on these John Deere’s and if it does come with if you buy it with the longer stick which is like a foot it comes from the factory with that on it so to factor that into our test we’ll do all our heavy lifting with the blade down over the front because that’ll be fair for both of them and like everybody said why I mean we didn’t do a comparison video digging we’re trying to compare the two machines it’ll be perfect for Zach and he does logging and picking up everything so digging is really not his forte as
you’ll see it’s a lot cleaner on how that’s done yes the cat door does open nicely and yes you can get to the valves and you can get to the radiator cooler to clean it yeah Marv offers the same thing we’ll show you how you get to their coolers but getting to this component is not really that big of a deal it’s not something you need to service and typically is never really a problem you can get to the engine you get to the oil fill pretty easy but you know getting to your engine oil dipstick that’s something you should do on a daily check I can’t pull this out without hitting the wiring harness on the throttle again this is something you’re doing every day yes you can get to a valve that you’re essentially never going to work on but
